Mathematical Modeling of Microbiological Systems

Aim of the Conference

The aim of the conference is to present the latest research in the field of computational biology with focus on mathematical methods for modeling, analysis, simulation and model optimization in system and cell biology. This conference will be a multidisciplinary forum for exchanging ideas, building networks, and setting up new scientific partnerships.

The program will comprise invited plenary lectures addressing new developments in the field of “Mathematical Modeling of Microbiological Systems”. Plenary talks will be complemented by contributed talks.

Topics include but are not limited to:

- mathematical modeling of complex microbiological systems, e.g. intracellular networks
- validation and discrimination of model candidates
- analysis and control of nonlinear systems in systems and cell biology
- modeling of spatial and temporal pattern formation in cells
- parameter estimation and design of optimal experiments in systems biology
